Beia @ SpeD 2017

BEIA Consult International attended the 9th Conference on Speech Technology and Human-Computer Dialogue, held in Bucharest, Romania between 6-9th of July. “SpeD 2017” brought together academics and industry professionals from universities, government agencies, and companies to present their achievements in speech technology and related fields. The event was a success, the participants strived to reflect over the latest tendencies in spoken language technology and human-computer dialogue research as well as some of the most recent applications in this area. This year edition was hosted in the newly built CAMPUS Research Center (UPB) and was organized by:

  • University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest
  • Faculty of Electronics, Telecommunications and Information Technology
  • Institute for Computer Science – Romanian Academy, Iaşi Branch
  • Research Institute for Artificial Intelligence “Mihai Draganescu”- Romanian Academy, Bucharest

BEIA brought its contributions with the presentations of the following papers:  “Towards a Continuous Speech Corpus for Banking Domain Automatic Speech Recognition”  authored by George Suciu, Stefan Adrian Toma, and Romulus Cheveresan, and “Semantics-Driven Intelligent Front-End” authored by George Suciu, Romulus Cheveresan, Miklós Szőts, and  Edit Halmay Tamás Gergely.
